Been working hard to finish up my projects. I have a bunch of cartoons that I've been submitting to the New Yorker which I might collect together in a book. The Bible Project is coming along nicely. The kids book is drawn and just needs to be colored. I have a bunch of dirty comics that I did for the Onion that could make a good little book. And if the Too Much Coffee Man Omnibus is finished - just a tiny bit of polish and it'll be printed.... lots of good stuff. In the meantime

New cartoon.

and my stupid LJ account expired again.

Blimey, these Christmases come round quick... I'm staring out my Mother-In-Law's window, and seeing a good smattering of snow. My first white Christmas for about 20 odd years! Hurrah!

As my Christmas gift to you loyal readers (and as a big thank you for all the great feedback to the three new strips), here's the zombie strip that appeared in the Fat Chunk Omnibus earlier this year. I teased you with a couple of panels before, but here it is in all it's glory. Once again, huge thanks to Monsieur Jamie Smart for putting me amongst all the other far more professional and prestigious talent. I am indebted, sir... :-)

And as an added bonus, here's my top 20 albums of the year, for those of you that care about such things. If comics are a first love, then music is nipping at it's heels pretty much constantly...

Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas, and a very Happy New Year. See you all once again in 2010!
Cheerio!

We drove all over town the other night looking for a cheap Christmas tree, but every place was wiped out! Then yesterday our amazing friends showed up at our door with a tree in tow! They are good people.

If you've ever wondered what American-style English sounds like to non-speakers - the actual sound and flow of it, without the content - this Italian "pop song" is probably as close as you're going to get without some sort of terrible brain trauma. Also, the song is pretty great, it wouldn't sound out of place on that "Nuggets" anthology.

Quiet times around here. Eleanor's working hard getting pieces together for a joint Giant Robot art show she's doing in January. I'm plugging away on Set to Sea. We've been drinking lots of hot toddys in these cold and rainy days.

Yeesh, Christmas is sneaking up on me fast. Time to declare war on this here Christmas.

Currently reading: To the Lighthouse (Virginia Woolf)
Currently listening: Fear and Whiskey (Mekons)/The Age of Faith (Will Durant audiobook)

I'm going to post up S2S three times a week for a while, since I've missed so many days recently.

The Secret Science Alliance and the Copycat Crook

Secret Science Alliance may be sold out on Amazon right now (they're bringing out a 2nd printing, but it probably wn't hit stores till January) but if you need it for Christmas and have a spare $161.84, this guy can hit you up on Ebay! And holy crap, someone on Amazon's trying to get $130.05 for a used copy! Who are these people?
