When people with a blog or webcomic use the phrase "we here at [web site]" though it is obvious there is only one person running that site. It reeks of the desperate need to be perceived as official or professional. Using it to be ironic or humorous does not make it acceptable, either. We here at irkworks disprove of such nonsense.
When guys refer to a beloved object as "her" or "she." The obvious example is when a guy bragging about his car mentions that "she" has an eight-cylinder engine or some shit. Just have sex with your car and get it over with. Why do guys do this? "Look at me! I'm sexual! I don't relate well with women so I transfer my affections to inanimate objects."
When people refer to themselves in the third person in the "about" section of some bumfuck blog or webcomic. "I say, this fine sir is important enough to have an admiring colleague write his bio. I wonder who wrote it. Was it Walter Cronkite? I bet it was Walter Cronkite."
The gradual, inevitable comeback of "Baby On Board" signs. "Oh dear, they have a baby in that vehicle! I better drive more carefully around them. But fuck these other retards on the road. No baby, no drivey safey."
Slow drivers in the left lane. Speed up, or get the fuck out. This is tired territory, I know. But the more the word is spread, the better. THE LEFT LANE IS FOR PASSING -- NOT FOR YOU TO VENGEFULLY ASSERT YOUR "RIGHT" TO DRIVE 55 MPH AND CAUSE TRAFFIC BACK-UPS. Sorry, my caps lock key was stuck for a moment.
* See what I did with the title? The title would have been "Shit I'm Sick Of" but I can't end a sentence with a preposition, now can I? It's another unnecessary rule of grammar I'm sick of. Oh, whoops.
